Hood / Trunk lid supprt ID?
Can anyone ID this part? It has a Ford tag on it and I think the prefix is "B"... I think. It's small as you can see, kind of "cute". Thanks guys!

Re: Hood / Trunk lid supprt ID?
I have one that looks like that. I'll have to check the measurements. The one I have is from a 47 coupe seat. It holds the backrest in the up position. Fits in the center of the backrest unlike the 40 that has the slide bar over on the pass side.

I have a 47 business coupe and I think Ken is correct. I had the thought where in the heck would you find that part if it went bad. Now I know there might be two spares out in the Ford universe!

Only guessing on the "B" as the prefix. Tag is worn and my eyes... not so good anymore.

I checked the one in my 47 business coupe last night. The bracket is part of the seat frame. 13" length.

Re: Hood / Trunk lid supprt ID?
Good question, Kube. I have a 1942 Deluxe coupe (rough) stored at my Dad's. My recollection is that the seat frame/cushions are different on it versus the 47. After
looking at the 47 I would be curious what the 41,42, and 46's used. |

Re: Hood / Trunk lid supprt ID?
Mike, look in the swap meet section today and there is an ad for a 1941 Super Deluxe Coupe. He has a picture with the seat raised up. Same as the part you have?
