Default Speedster Hand Brake

I am building a speedster, using all 'A' parts with standard motor and drive train parts. To add to the looks I would like to mount the hand /emergency brake on the out side of the body of the speedster. Do any of you good folks have any drawings-plans on how to acheive this. I beleive that some of the very early model cars had the brake mounted on the chassis next to the door post. This may be the way to go, by extending the shaft to the outside of the body and mounting the handle there. I would be most grateful for any photos, drawings and thought on how to go about this.
I hope you all had a great Christmas. Just come back from a flight over the finish of the Sydney to Hobart yatch race....what a sight!
