Seems high to me but I've not seen a 400A sell before. Nice looking car in the pics anyway. Thought some might be interested in seeing it as not too many 400A out there.

$41k is probably not bad if it is as solid as it looks. Try restoring one from scratch and tally up the costs.

I noticed that. Unless the color balance of the photo is WAY off. It looks more like shades of green...

The interior could be vinyl... The 400A was considered an open car I suppose so wouldn't have had cloth interior originally...???

Pete and Marco can check me out on this: The 40B Deluxe, Deluxe Roadster, 180A, Deluxe Phaeton, and the 400A, Convertible Sedan, all had Moroccan Two Toned tan leather interiors. None other did. The 35B Standard Phaeton has been restored with the Moroccan Tan leather and called a Deluxe Phaeton...it is not.

There is a Canadian Victoria we know of with black leather interior, original from the factory.

All 400A came with brown leather interior. This was Fords top of the line car in 31. Dlx open cars had brown leather interiors.

Copra Drab and Chickle drab? I always thought they were two shades of brown. I tried every pair of glasses and it still looked like some kind of a one tone green to me. Anybody care to to comment?

Chickle and copra are on the green side for sure but this car may be a little too green. He did say it was an early restoration so it may be off the two tone is incorrect the w

ay they have it tapped off. In any case if I had the cash on hand I would pay the asking price.

Color misrepresentation is very common with digital cameras, and monitors vary as well. Greens and blues can be the worst. I would never go by pics to verify a color.

Very Rare, A local man picked one up in the east last summer and I heard he paid north of 40K for it and felt he got a deal on it.
