1936 Cab - PAINTED
Closing in on 6 years (since May 2009) that I've been picking away at bringing this truck back to life. Today the cab finally is painted!
1960's Ford Wimbledon White, single stage urethane from Eastwood. The bed and rear fenders are already done. Probably (hopefully) get around to painting the front fenders, hood, grille, this summer. painted cab right.jpg |

Nice work Scott! I like your dolley. Did you use lag bolts through the cab floor?

If you zoom in on the right rocker you can see a lag bolt going down through the frame and into the dolly Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using Tapatalk |

You are doing very nice work. Nice color, wife became suspicious while I was oggling the cab pix, saw what it was and wondered what the rest of the truck looked like. She likes it too.

I used to have a 65 Mustang that was Wimbledon White with a cherry red interior. Always loved the way that car looked and got lots of compliments on it. My wife really liked it too, so it was the inspiration for this truck. Inside: image.jpg |

Re: 1936 Cab - PAINTED
Post #3 above is now edited to include a YouTube link to all the paint booth pics of the cab.
Its kinda scary this new technology....I took half dozen photos on my new Samsung Edge 6 and as I was viewing them the phone gave me a message that it had grouped them into a video presentation. No input from me, it just did it. Kinda cool and scary at the same time. |

Re: 1936 Cab - PAINTED
Looking GREAT Scott!!
Our youngest daughter lives over in Arlington Heights actually close to Ron Erenhofer. I'm not sure how far Wheaton is from A.H. but if I ever could, I'd love to see your truck someday! We have a '36 pickup also, Washington Blue w/ a 59AB flattie that is a lot of fun to drive! Don't see me actually driving this pickup to the Burbs but I'll bring pics. Thanks for your updates I really enjoy seeing them. |

Re: 1936 Cab - PAINTED
Getting corrosion control and finish restoration is more than half the battle. Now you'll have to sort out all the hardware to get er back together so you can have the fun of driving it.

Re: 1936 Cab - PAINTED
Very nice. I think mine is going to end up vineyard green or black but a white truck is refreshing. Did you fill in your lower fender mounting holes in the lower cowl?
