Default 8BA pushrod sleeve

I'm stripping a block to have it dipped in a Redi-Strip type process. I have everything out of the block except the fuel pump pushrod sleeve. They want all the oil passages open, so I guess it needs to come out. What is a good tool to remove it that a blacksmith might have? Is there enough room in the idler gear cavity to drive it down and remove it?
Thanks, Gene

Yes, just drive it down, If the cam bearing is removed it will just fall out. After it's removed weld up the little hole in the bushing and re install. Now you can still use the push rod as it will get oil from the cam, or just leave the pushrod in if using an electric pump. This will eliminate the oil mist on the firewall.

Thanks Ol' Ron. I was afraid it would bottom out in the idler cavity. I have it out now, although sludge kept it from just falling out.

The bushing don't go into the rear gears. With the cam bearing out it drives down into the center of the rear cam bearing housing bore. Walt
