'Trust no one'.....and start looking up because if they can, they'll fall out of the sky !

I never drive my Model A on Saturdays, just don't .... but had to ! So I'm backing out of my driveway, my across street 90 year old neighbor is doing same. All I could do was scream as she almost t-boned my car, stopping within 2 feet. Close & even then ruined my day.

Once doing the speed limit on a two way road, someone 'needed' to pass me on the right !!

No amount of insurance is going to replace my 40 years of 'work'.

Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the risk ??

I have recording cameras that will capture any collusion. The cops know how to download the recording.

I went on a tour yesterday with the Model T club, but me in my A. You can't be careful enough, but you never know about the other people on the road. Just keep your fingers crossed and you car in good operating condition.

I was run off the road when someone ran a stop sign, around someone stopped at the it, forcing me off the road over a ditch and breaking an akle. Thank God for seat belts in my Model A.

IMO, seat belts don't do a thing to avoid a collision but they sure do improve your chances of surviving it. I have them fitted in all of my cars but they have not been engineered inspected as is required here. I bet if I were in a collision and survived, I would end up in court over it. As the saying goes, "I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6", your honour!

In 60 years of my driving Model A's, I have had 3 encounters with modern cars. The first was my fault as I pulled away from the curb into traffic without looking well enough to see a Buick that snagged my front bumper. In the next 2 incidents, modern cars bumped into my Model A while it was stopped. So in total, the only encounter where my Model A was moving was my fault.

The wife and I were traveling on a two lane highway doing about 50 when an old guy ran a top sign on my drivers side as we crossed the intersection. I flipped the wheel to the right. He missed my rear bumper by about an inch. The old guy just kept going. I don't know if he ever saw me or not. There was a car directly behind me that saw the whole thing. As he passed me after the intersection, we both looked at each other and just shook our heads and drove on. Will never forget that one.
