Looking for References in Portland OR Area
Don’t hold it against me but I hang out on the Early V8 forum on the Barn.
Today I need assistance with a Model A. I’m in New England and my father in-law is in Hillsboro just West of Portland OR. Years ago he was in a local club but has lost contact. His Model A was running but now he can’t get it to fire up. He's given up and would like to take it a shop/guy who can fix the issue so that he can put the A up for sale. I’d appreciate a few references in the Hillsboro area that I can pass on to him. Thanks, -Mike34 |

Re: Looking for References in Portland OR Area
I would contact someone in the Beaver Model A Club in Portland to see if they know someone who could help out.

Re: Looking for References in Portland OR Area
Tom Godish. Model A Fordworks. In Portland. Very knowledgeable, 45+ years experience with Model A’s. 503-410-1091. Tom is often backed up, so if you need something in a hurry, you’ll be disappointed. But if you hire his shop, the work will be excellent.
By the way, don’t be put off by the appearance of his shop. It is jam-packed with stuff. Tom is also a new and used Model A parts dealer, so his space is crowded. But that also means he’ll have what you need to get on the road.

There is also a young lady that sells Model A parts-I think she is based in Vancouver. Sorry I can't remember her name but I met her at the last National and she is really motivated and super nice.

Re: Looking for References in Portland OR Area
What 700RPM said! Tom does house calls. The shop number 503-282-2212. Right now we are only in the shop Monday, Wednesday and Friday and that is subject to change depending on what is going on, so leave a message and he will get back to ASAP.
Thanks Mark, the other guy in the shop.
