Yes, he/she does - most impressive was when the drone flew THROUGH the two huckster wagons and the depot hack. Just wish it had flown a little slower so we could see the cars better. |

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
Do you think those two pedestrians at the end will ever find where they parked their car?

I love it! "Somebody stop me'"
My wife, who is more savvy with this tech stuff, showed me on You tube lower right, There is a cog shaped button that says settings. Click on that and chose playback speed .025, for a longer look.

Wow, that's quite a collection of old iron.
Do any cars actually get sold? That's the Volo, Illinois volume with far more floor space.

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
What are they, all on commission or something? (Is that the right term? Being sold on behalf of the owner for a cut?)

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
That fly through had to be a computer generated fly.
It was too perfect to not be. One of the TV stations here in the frozen country did a similar fly through around a bridge and explained that it was a computer program that the drone reads as it flies. Gee, and all we have to do is sit around and watch all this stuff. |

Isn't that where the V-8 National Meet was to be at? I know it canceled. I can't take this staying home with my wife. I think she going to kill me if I don't get out of the house. I am on a verge of a breakdown. They canceled about every car swap meet and car show around here. I walked down town and no cars just a old stray dog in the road wonderer what going on. No cars to chase.

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
Yup, that's the place we had set up for the host venue for our V-8 National's. There's a Holiday Inn attached to the mall. It is in range of a vast amount of great venues to explore.
Our Regional Group that was planning on hosting it is pretty disheartened by the situation.

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
Balls out nerd stuff. I guess if they lost a finger then maybe it'd be good. It's interesting and people asked here about how it was done.
Ryan Newman crash this yr for nascar was so crazy. Recovered. Technology eh. Modern NHRA is amazing. Great Mall fly through... . Last edited by Tinker; 03-24-2020 at 11:11 PM. |

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
The Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown Pa also hosts some good flea markets/swap meets. They are located about 40 miles from my place, so in the past I've spent a day there doing the indoor and outdoor swap meet and walking the mall checking out all the cars.
A highly recommended way to spend a fun day, especially if you live in close striking distance.

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
If you watch closely, at the very beginning, on the left, you will get a glimpse of the '57 Mercury that is being raffled off to benefit the early Ford V8 Foundation Museum. You can get a better view near the end when the drone flies over the hood as it flies down the hall the last time. The Mercury was taken there direct from Hershey and they sold many raffle tickets and no Charge for the space. I picked it up on March 16 and brought it to my garage in WV, planning to take it back to Auburn to the Museum. Right now, I am just waiting for things to get better, so I can travel!
They charge 10% commission and first 3 months display are free. Last edited by Cecil/WV; 03-26-2020 at 09:49 AM. Reason: wording |

Re: Drone fly through Classic Auto Mall
Thanks!!! That was fun!! I haven’t had much experience with the “drone thing”. Not much watching and never running one. That was a good operator or as someone said a computer program. I’ve looked at their website and the cars I looked at were very over priced(rusted and booger patched Fordor Shoebox for $10k).With that said l would LOVE to spend a day there looking at all the cars in person. Be a good road trip when our world gets back to normal. Take Care All !!!..... Mark
