Default Painting trunk panels 1940 coupe

I have original black trunk panels in my 1940 coupe.
They are in great shape but have many stains.
I would like to freshen up by spray painting.
I am looking for some guidance based on personal experience.
Thanks Tom.

Tom, Do you mean the tool tray boards or the cardboard liners?

If it is cardboard liner get some vinyl spray. I used that on the bitumen board on the inner firewall....came out great.
