Default Macs auto parts

Someone please tell me why it takes Macs so look to process an order.
Everybody else ships the same day or the next day but Macs try’s and get extra money for fast processing or you have to wait a week for them to ship.
If there was other sources I would never buy from them.

Depending what you are looking for there are plenty of other sources...Joe's Antique Auto Parts, C&G Ford Parts, Mac Van Pelt...to name a few.

Does any body have the number for James/Gotham City; I misplaced it and need to give them a call.

On the subject of Mac's; it has been my last choice for long time now. In fact I have been able to find anything that is "actually" available elsewhere for several years now.

What are you wanting to order that only Mac's has? There are dozens of suppliers that provide about any part I could think of that Mac would have. Another one not post yet is Sacramento Vintage Ford. There are also several NOS suppliers that post here on the Barn. One thought is supporting suppliers who are Barn regulars, they provide helpful feedback on various questions.

I gave up on Macs and recently added Sacramento Vintage Ford to the last choice list. Van Pelt and C&G are my first choices.

You must have missed all the threads regarding Mac's poor service and high shipping costs. Listen to the advice already given and deal with small independent parts dealers. The little guys treat you right because they know reputation is everything that keeps them in business. I ordered once from Mac's after they were sold to Eckler's and got cured the first time.

Another vote for Joe's. C&G and The Early Ford Store in San Dimas, CA are also good sources. JMHO

I have to add a (rare) compliment for the service and parts availability I've experienced from Mac's. In Canada, most of us order from George Moir Antique Auto Parts. When this reliable source is out of the product i need, I have relied on Mac's on numerous occasions. I've never not had the parts I've need within one week (which includes crossing the border of two countries for the standard B.S. tax fees and levies). I would suggest i've received at least 90% of the total number of parts for which I've placed orders. Thanks goodness for repro parts manufacturers and suppliers or I, for one, would not be able to own any old Ford.

Another vote for Third Generation Automotive. So good to see a young couple devoting themselves to this hobby.

John, you are correct. Michael is a fine young man and also has given a lot of his spare time to supporting and volunteering for the Early Ford V-8 Club. We need more just like him.

Ryan should add/establish another Forum - 'MAC's' - this, just to satisfy the fetish to bash this vendor....

I haven't bought from Mac's in years. My go-to supplier is C&G. Excellent service. I live in PA and they regularly get me parts from CA in 48 hrs. When they don't carry something, which is rare, I go to Carpenter.
