Anyone know who sells the dash trim that is all one piece? I have checked Bob Drake, Dennis Carpenter and Macs and they all sell the two piece design. Was the one piece an aftermarket part?

I haven't seen the single piece set up. Even the Fenton chrome plated dash parts were two piece but they are rare now days. They were made from zinc die cast then plated.

I thought there was a trim piece covering the two piece design so it doesn't matter 1 or 2 pieces?

Yea, that vertical center piece that goes over the radio speaker also extends up & over to the radio controls.

Yes and it didn't have the clock cutout. I have a 1 piece 41 ( used in 46-48 New Zealand assembled Deluxe v8s') that came with the spare parts for my 48 Super Deluxe Cpe. It would be no good up there in North America as it is for a RHD car.

My deluxe has a one piece, no clock and a small horizontal Ford emblem but it's Canadian if that makes a difference.

It might make a difference. It wouldn't be the only difference I'm sure. Canadian production sourced parts from some different suppliers than Ford USA and Ford US may have also had sources that Canadian Ford didn't use. 1941 was the first year of the three different quality and price level cars among other things like the intro of the G 6-cylinder engine.

Even though my 41 is a Super Deluxe, I just like the way the one piece looks. The center piece I have just covers the speaker grill and stops at the trim. That is part of the reason why I want the one piece also.
This is what I am looking for.

There is a different longer trim piece for the two piece trim that covers the gap.

The full length diecast trim with the clock cut out are they rare? I always see the ones without the clock cutout.Were these aftermarket could have ford made these?

My 41 has a chrome piece in the center, above the speaker grill and has a clock cut-out above the glove box. with a wind-up clock. Still another style for the 41's. Al

I actually saw a picture of one. It would look nice, but I am not a carpenter. It would be like sticking a 2x4 on my dash. I did find a guy on the HAMB that has the piece I am looking for. I am planning on buying it after the holidays.

I know it's a modified car, but I put a 41 dash in my 48 and has the one piece trim. It is a factory piece that I bought at a flea market that was in very good condition. I painted it a silver/gray color. That was about 20 years ago and it still looks great today

Have a look where the break in the 2 piece plastic trim is on NZ assembled 46/48 ( all here carried 41 US style dash in RHD), at the glove box.

One piece metal dash trim where available in fleet cars. There is no cut out for the clock. I have one with a cut out for the clock. Usually guys have them chromed. There are 3 different sizes for the vertical chrome pieces. Contact me if interested in the 1 piece metal dash piece.

This is the Dash in our family's 1946 Ford Deluxe Sedan that my Grandfather bought brand new. Notice that it is one piece. Just for the record, as most Barners would know, Ford changed the design of the Dash in 1942, however, Ford beancounters thought that the expense of making the new dash in Right Hand Drive was not warranted, so all RHD Fords through 1948 continued using the carry-over 1941 Dash.

In the past I've had two set of repop '41 plastic two piece dash trim; both sets were poor quality and worse fit. I'm thinking they were old Argentina made parts.

Does anyone have any experience with the trim currently available? Fit and quality wise?
