Door windows again
We have a 28 tudor , no glass came with it, so no pattern . All new regulators , USA made tracks , slide felts , all new from Snyders. made the first pattern and it tilted and jammed on the way down only. Mad a second slightly wider pattern ,same deal , also slightly tilted on way up . OK made a third pattern ,slides nicely with some resistance up and down . As soon and the bottom track is clipped on it goes up sort of OK but down is the issue. The wood pattern is screwed to the track at each end. Corners of patterns are nicely rounded. ?? Where to from here?

Re: Door windows again
Are you sure the corners of the lower track are not binding on the felt runs? Or screws exposed someway??
Contrary, it would seem to be worse up than down. Last edited by Oldbluoval; 08-10-2021 at 08:23 PM. |

Re: Door windows again
Nothin protruding . Tried 3 different size pattens and all slid without the regulator. What I found was in our other cars all with replacement glass the numbers went from 6.2 mm to 5.5 to 4.7mm ( sorry about using metric) No idea but got the air DA out and sanded approx .5 making it 4.7 mm off the flat edge of the pattern and it seems to work much better.
