Re: Where to find window regulators
Have a picture of what they look like? I have a couple of old Army footlockers full of NOS regulators and I just might have what you need.

Re: Where to find window regulators
There's a guy near Mulica Hill NJ that has all kinds of window regulators. I know him but haven't seen him in years. I bought about 12 Columbia rears off him 2o years ago. He go's by Regulator Ted or Jim or what ever his name is. Someone on here should know him. G.M.

I am working with "Regulator Roy" at this time on window stuff. I would recommend him.

Re: Where to find window regulators
What's wrong with those? Soak them in vinegar for a few days. Grease them up. The springs look to be ok.

Re: Where to find window regulators
I looked up the part numbers in my parts book and my book shows from 44-47 to be as following:
01C 8123200-A r/s Dennis Carpenter restorations 1-800-476-9653 Qty 4 in stock 01C 8132301-A l/s same place as above Qty 1 in stock. I can only verify back to 44, as I don't have an earlier copy back to 38. Maybe someone else can look it up on the earlier truck and verify they are the same. Dennis Carpenter has a separate division that deals in just NOS stuff. Hope this helps.

I found 4 NOS ones in my stuff. Problem is they are all for the same side.

Re: Where to find window regulators
Consider restoring them if they are complete. We hot tank them to get the rust and crud off, then disassemble them. Missing or damaged teeth are restored by welding them, then reshaping with a die grinder. Many vendors stock a kit for the crank gear and shaft. I used this approach over 20 years ago when I bought my '47 convertible. The open car regulators are very different than the closed car type, and it took me a year to find one for the right door. Someone had put a regulator from some kind of car in that side When I did find one, it was very expensive, and still needed to be rebuilt.

Re: Where to find window regulators
I found a NOS passenger side on ebay. It looks like yours are missing a rivet on the strap the keeps the two gears in place at the center. One end is bolted and the other end riveted.

Re: Where to find window regulators
I tried to rebuild some a couple of years ago that appeared to be in pretty good shape the window crank gear and shaft were bad. The kits that I got to repair these were not the same tooth count. I was told nobody ever had this problem before. I don't know if the 38 to 47 truck (Pickup) takes a different kit or if the ones I recieved were packaged wrong.
