Default What Years Had Oval Speedos?

I was looking at different Model A photos and came across a '31 with an oval speedo. It got me to thinking (not good) if this is correct or someone installed a oval speedo in a '31??? Maybe they liked the oval one better?

Im sure the judging standards guys will tell you exactly whats what, but from my practical knowledge it could be an early 31. You cant just switch out the dash and speedos between the oval and round. the tank is shaped differently behind it.

I think the oval speedometer was used thru June 1930. That roadster is either
a 1930 or the tank has been changed.

All 28-29 = Oval
Early 30 = Oval
Late 30 = Round
All 31 = Round

Start with the build date(frame number).
The radiator shell is interchangeable on the 30, and 31.

Thanks Newshirt, that clears it up pretty good right there. I was thinking maybe Ford started installing oval speedos again in 'late '31.
