Default Antique Auto Supply sold?

A friend of mine ( Waterboychuck ) who is on FordBarn also, told me that he called Antique Auto and they said it had been sold and all the parts went to Indiana. They did not give him a name. Could it have been MacDonald Obsolete Parts in Rocckport, Ind. ? Anyone know who it is for sure?

Yup, it's true. Just called and they verified. Stacy Brown (owner) has been ill for a couple years now. Going to miss the place!

I called them this morning and the phone was answered "Antique Auto Supply" and I said that I wanted to know about some parts availability and prices. His reply was "all the parts are gone to Indiana and our shelves are empty."

The folks that bought it from Stacy have sold to the In. People. I'll be in Arlington tomorrow and will try to find out the new owners.

Just got this message from a friend in Texas.
It is with a very sad heart that I am telling you that Stacy Brown, former owner of Antique Auto Parts, passed away this morning, April 11. He was a true friend to everyone that knew him and a walking encyclopedia on car parts.

Sorry to hear Stacy passed away. Always a pleasure to talk to him on the phone. Just read an article in the EV8 magazine he wrote about the Pate swap meet in TX.

I enjoyed that video. It's sad to see all the amazing people with all this talent and knowledge on this forum passing away. Makes me think of that country song, "Who's gonna fill those shoes?"

That's life I guess. Still sad. I'm glad he went out still doing what he loved. I'm also glad there are people out there that are willing to carry on and have the means to do it.

Sad to hear Stacy has passed. He was a good friend and my go to guy for NOS parts for many years. Very well informed about vintage parts and would gladly answer any questions. We visited at Pate every year and when I was in Fort Worth to go to Bell for something I always went to see him and explore his vast inventory. We've lost another old Ford "specialist".

My first deal with Stacy was in 1969. I bought a radiator cap for a 1935 Studebaker Dictator Hearse. Asked if he had one, he started digging through a stack of boxes and out it came. Bought a lot more from him over the years. RIP

Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Boy I hope someone with the same passion has purchased all those parts and will be open for business.

That was 6 years ago, so wherever the parts went they have been there a while.

First time I met Stacey was at the chickasha swap meet. He had a NOS 32 V8 RHD accelerator assembly that I was eyeballing and fumbling around in my hands.. It was marked $65 with no identification on the tag. He knew what it was and fortunately as did I. I was only 23 at the time, and he stated if I knew what it fit he would give it to me. I answered correctly and he gave it to me free of charge; a few seconds later I handed him $65. We both earned a lot of respect for each other at that moment. We talked for hours after.

Good dude that will be missed, and I wish I had the opportunity to run into him more often
