Default Water Pump Housing Crack

Just pulled the water pump casting from the carb cleaner dip and this is what I see, for a crack starting at the forward neck.

Here is how it looks from the inside of the casting.

Do you think this can be used? I have lots of parts but no extra water pump casting.

Also here is a terrifying shot of the fan that was on the car. How long do you think this had before exploding and ruining a radiator or hood or both!

Sorry, I don't know how the pictures got out of order and doubled up on the fan, but I cannot fix it!
