Re: carb & head
Which set up? The Winfield intake and carbs? The intake, carbs and the 2 port head? The intake, carbs, head and the pickup? In any case, pictures and description would be necessary before guesses can be made.

Re: carb & head
Depending on shape the intake and carbs are about $1600 to $1800 the Riley head
depends on if its a two port or 4 port. The two port is $4,000 to $4,500 and the 4 port, haven't seen one for sale for a while, but more that the two port. The pickup???? Just my opinion from what I've seen sell lately. Maybe Jim Brierley can chime in here. |

Re: carb & head
As stated above depends on lots of things. What model are the Winfield carburetors? The value varies greatly depending on the model, updraft vs downdraft, condition, if any parts are missing or if the carb is complete etc.
As for the Riley head, depends if it is original or a later reproduction. |

Re: carb & head
Would that happen to be the same setup that was on the pick up that was part of the Ken Brownlee auction? From the pictures for that auction it looked like the head had been repaired (welded) a few times.

Re: carb & head
As waxhead says, it depends on which carbs, and cyl. head condition. Carbs are stamped on the throttle-body and float chamber. The body determines the size of carb. Example S-1-B would be a B size, from memory, 1 1/4". Floats are stamped *-*-U or *-*-D. U being updraft and D being downdraft. The pair needs to be within 1 size of each other. Price varies with size, bigger are have more value, downdraft seem to attract more value too although performance is the same. I recently sold a matched pair of S-CC-U carbs for $1200 and had them advertised for several months. S, or SR are models of the most common Winfields. The head may be worth $3500, at the most. To sell quickly, price them right, as with anything. See the F.A.S.T. magazine for Winfield history, www.hotforhotfours.com. Thanks Dodge for the compliment.
