Default Flathead hot water heater control valve

I may have posted this before but if anyone knows of a supplier who properly duplicates the valve I'm sure it would be helpful for others to know. In the pic you will see one that I modified to be correct along with what they are selling. It still is not perfect as the original valve allowed you to bleed out any air that may have built up. The middle pic is the modified Macs valve.

Not sure what year you are referring to. It is helpful (always) to tell us folks "out here" what you are working on.

Veeder - is this for the '41 you usually ask questions about?

I didn't post any photos in this thread.
Neither of the two that Pete had posted are correct.

When restoring my 40 deluxe wagon to be judged, I had a few valve bodies cad plated and started restoring them. Of course, then I found a NOS one at Hershey. That is now in my wagon. The best of my others I finished up and put in my business coupe. Both cars have hot water heaters. I know this is correct and I think the "Mickey Mouse" ears in the valve handle are suppose to be black. Mike will correct me if that isn't right but these are correct for 40 and probably other years that used hot water heaters. Notice the plane of the shutoff is 90 degrees to the part that screws into the head.
