Default Nu Rex Timing Wrench

We had occasion to use the Nu Rex wrench during a distributor change while on tour this weekend. Worked like a charm with a pre-gapped distributor with an A cam.
The question cam up does the cam shape matter, like a B cam? With the usual adjustment method the lobe would be positioned to just start to break the points. So cam shape wouldn't matter. Or is the difference so small it doesn't matter?

What you said about setting the timing is correct.
The cam shape allows for different amounts of dwell between the 2 cams.

I use mine on a B cam and it works fine every time.
