Re: Orange County Pancake Breakfast - Revisited
Several of our club members and myself are in contact with the City of Orange and are dealing directly with Mayor Caveeche and the City Manager. We are working on an arrangement that will permit breakfast and raffle ticket sales just as we have always done together with club shirts and hat sales. We will not proceed unless the conditions to have the breakfast are favorable to OCMAFC and our guests. We have a 50 year history of successful events at Hart Park and I am confident the details can be worked out. Stay tuned to Fordbarn for updates.

Re: Orange County Pancake Breakfast - Revisited
My life is a lot busier lately but this is one of the few events I like to attend. I would definitely attend on the new date.

Re: Orange County Pancake Breakfast - Revisited
May be it could be moved to Pomona fair grounds and a swap meet could be added. A smaller version of the LA Roadster Show. How about having it on a Saturday. Just my 2 cents. thanks

Re: Orange County Pancake Breakfast - Revisited
My guess is that it has to do with sales tax, business permits, on all that is sold on site.

Re: Orange County Pancake Breakfast - Revisited
This just posted:
http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64700 Thanks to Orange County club members Frank Reese, Tissy Hatcher and Don Ratzlaff and a very good recent meeting with City of Orange offcials including the city manager, our Orange County club voted this evening to hold the famous annual pancake breakfast again this year. The date will be Sunday, May 20th at the same location as previous years, namely Hart Park in the city of Orange. The time will be 8 AM till Noon and we specifically ask you to time your arrivals for not earlier than 7:30 AM. This is important. Emails will be sent out this Friday to all the Southern California Region clubs informing them of this news. There are no regional events scheduled for that date so plan to attend the pancake breakfast. We welcome all Model A lovers. The May date promises to bring excellent weather and no water running down the middle of the flood channel like last year. We will have our usual excellent raffles as in the past and I promise a surprise or two in the raffle area. I almost forgot, we now must call them an "opportunity drawings". Take Mom out for Mother's Day on May 13th and both of you come to our annual pancake breakfast on May 20th. |

Re: Orange County Pancake Breakfast - Revisited
I'll be there but without a Model A, but I am looking for one! We'll see what shows up at the Knott's show this Sunday. Maybe someone that needs an Edsel wagon instead of his/her Model A? Either way I'll be there in May.
