Default 1949 paint colour

I was at NAPA this morning to see if they could match the dark blue on the car it is the original colour. there records go back to 1951.to 1954 has the same blue but nothing for a 49?. any ideas. thanks for any info. Jack.

A good example of a run on sentence that kept running away as I tried to read it.
However, I did eventually catch up.

Just a note on automotivetouchup.com. I got some touch-up from them for my '67 Corvette that had been painted about 10 years before, well maintained, and stored inside. It matched perfectly. I also got some for my '68 Corvette that was original paint from the factory. That wasn't even close. I expect that it was due to the original paint fading over the intervening 50 years, not any fault of theirs. I think they do a good job of matching the priginal non-faded colors.
