Default "Sharp Dressed "Crab " plate ......

I play music in the shop baesd on moods sometimes, this morning i played the ZZ Top sharp dressed man , kinda suits the mood i guess. I would call this a sharp dressed crab point plate :

1 media blasted point plate
2 painted with "never rust" black Trans Star primer
3 lube adjustment screw and turn with electric driver to aid machine testing
4 quality CS47 NAPA Echlin heavy duty contacts
5 contacts soaked with marvel mystery oil to retain lube
6 contact rubbing blocks with mobile one high temp grease
7 all screws replaced with stainless allen heads
8 contacts aligned (usually the right hand side needs bent )
9 brass washers using smaller cotter pins for a little bit more clearance .

There nothing like the smell of Marvel Mystery oil in the morning !!!!

Hi Everyone,

Jim/Bubba/Professor, Thank you sir. This is one very educational piece you've laid out!

Not many comments over they years about this, but you've got photo skills!

The red grease will not let you down. Many flatties out in the wild are still/again running thanks to your crew's magic touch and have that marvelous jelly hidden inside their vital bits.

Long live the hot sauce! This bottle was scored in Auburn IN! (My cr_p pics.)

Jim, I'll bet you were wearing "white gloves" like the song says when you did that one. Love the cars in their videos. Wish i had a 59A with one of your "works of art" in it because
well, just because. Looks GR8 !
