Per the Judging Standards "From introduction through February 1930 terminal box-to-cutout and starter switch-to-terminal box wires were protected in a seamed steel tubing (conduit) painted gloss black. The hole in the bottom of the conduit had a reinforcing rim." There is a weld repair on the bottom and sides adjacent to the hole. However, the reinforcing rim is missing but there is no evidence that the lengthwise ends of the hole were repaired nor that there was a reinforcing rim. Otherwise the conduit is the same as the conduit with the rim and is in good condition. You just need to clean up the repair and add the wiring. NOTE: I do have a copy of drawing A-14575-A1 which shows the reinforcing rim and measurements and pictures of an original reinforcing rim which I will include with the conduit. Price is $50, plus shipping, USA buyers only. No Pay-Pal. (Depending on your location, UPS shipping will range between $12-18 within the lower 48.) Contact Frank at [email protected] |
