When I did my 31 open cab P/U, I bought a woodkit from Bert's. I received 6 pieces of wood. 3 were for cab back braces (all the same). 2 pieces that fit where the door latch and dove tail attach to. The last piece runs in the seat raiser. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. A picture of the seat back wood if possible would be great.

It should be self explanatory.Find the three that fit between the bolt holes in the back of the cab and the lip on the seat riser. Are you thinking there is wood on the back of the set spring? If so,there isn't any wood there.

I was wondering if there is any interior belt rail wood that goes inside the cab for the top fasteners to screw into or do they just attach to the body. I know there is no wood on the seat back.I have seen plenty of 28-29,s but never a 30-31 in person.

No Belt wood on a 30-31 cab. I got some machine threaded fasteners and used lock washer a nut to hold them.

I used the sheet metal screw type of fasteners, but a couple of them loosened up.I should have used the bolt type.I intended to change them all over, but just used some sheet metal screw clips to get by.That was about 18 years ago,and I kind of forgot about it.

Sorry to take so long to reply. The seat back (springs) is all metal (first photo). There is no wood in the body running horizontally. There are three pieces of running vertical to support the seat. They are attached with a screw to the seat frame on the bottom and attached to the body with a carriage bolt visible from the outside of the body. (remaining photos)

Thanks Charlie, that is a big help. I think all the wood that was piled in the truck was for other cars. Lee

Post a picture of the wood and maybe someone can spot something.
