Default New CNC'D Model A Ford Aluminum Ford Script Valve Cover!!!

This is a project that my roommate and I worked on while completing our freshman year of engineering college this year. It is CNC machined from aluminum and has Ford script in it. We only have one available at this time, but intend to make more if demand requires. Please PM me or call me at 402-705-3757 if you are interested. These look wonderful on an engine with a downdraft carburetor and a high compression head. We can polish/buff these if desired for an extra cost. I will being going to the Iola car show/swap meet if you would like to get one from me at the show. I have listed these more formally in the swap meet section.

Just wanted to show you guys one of our projects.

Thanks, David

Yow much did you have to pay to use "FORD" and make it a registered product?

The key word in that is they have only made one. If he removes the verbiage "more", it won't ever be an issue. Painters can paint the Ford logo, embroiderer scan make the insignia, even other one-off pieces can be produced without infringement issues. Doesn't sound like his intent is production. He makes one occasionally as a hobbyist, then sells it when convenient.

To the O/P, I think it is a nice piece. Congrats to the both of you. Did you use SolidWorks or something else to draw it in?

We have tested fitment on a engine block. We are not trying to represent this as a genuine Ford part. As Brent said, we plan on making one occasionally if another hobbyist is interested. This is not the current Ford logo and has also been modified slightly to work on this application. We did do a solid works drawing to create it. It was a fun project. Thanks for the interest, David.

Beautiful work.
What does the inside look like? Does it have the oil path clearance of an original?

If Ford gives you grief, just change it to FOOL, like the hub caps. LOL

That's a nice piece! It'd look even blingier polished and with the Ford painted - engine green, Ford blue, body/stripe color, etc.

Yes, if one painted inside the letters with some enamel it would really look good. As for the back side of the cover it is just milled flat. We saw no reason to have to recess the backside for oil. Thanks for the positive feedback guys. David
