Re: 460 Exhaust Manifold Leak
Dick, any manifold can leak or for that matter warp. If you have gotten it resurfaced and it still leaks than try a copper gasket. Had similar problem with FE and 429 . Copper gaskets from Mr. Gasket have not leaked in 3 years. JMO Russell <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

Re: 460 Exhaust Manifold Leak
Russle, I think the copper gasket is the way to go, I've heard from more than one person that Ford use metallic gaskets on certain years and if you use anything else it just don't cut it. A mystery to me..gasket is gasket no? <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

Actually that's not quite so

composite gaskets are flat and will be pushed out by uneven services because they are stiff. Coppers are formed with a ridge and because the copper is soft will mold into the shape of the metal and thus providing a better seal. Good Luck, Russell <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |
