Default Pic request 30-31 Roadster windshield (Deluxe)

I should get my windshield frame back from my glass guy any day now. When I got my Roadster there was no windshield or parts for it installed or included. So I have been gathering all the parts. I'm pretty sure I have everything now. But i'm a little confused on how some of the parts go together. For example the weatherstrip and upper post connection. If anyone has pics they can share I would really appreciate it.

If emailing is easier than posting them, you can email them to [email protected]

Thanks

I’m going to jump in this thread and hopefully it’ll answer a question for you. I will be changing the windshield in 1930 sport coupe, (someone has sanded it or sand blasted part it). Does the weather stripping stay in one piece through the channel or is it cut at a 45 degree angle? Hopefully that’s what you were asking also.

I found one pic that shows it cut at an angle. But i'm curious what the top corner looks like.

The other part i'm not sure on is the assembly order of the parts below. I assume the shorter end of the stud goes in the windshield frame. The cones have one side thicker than the other. How do they go? Does the nut hold the cone in place with the rounded side towards the cone?

Zax40, I took several photos of my 31 Deluxe when I was sending it to be chromed. Mine was old and might have been missing some rubber seals on the sides of the frame. I'm sorry, I don't have any of the frame out of the vehicle, other than the backside of the upper stanchions, once I removed them. When I took the frame apart, I remember thinking everything looked like it should be fairly easy to figure out how it went back together; I guess I'll find out! I have more pics like these, from different angles, if you need them.

Zax40, I’ve seen a really nice 1931 sport coupe that had installed that weather stripping in one continuous piece. It just runs in the rails and makes a nice curve at the corner. It looked like it sealed well and wasn’t ugly to look at. Does anyone know for sure what Henry did originally?

Just saw your post and request for photos. I own a 1931 Roadster Deluxe. I will email you photos of my car that I believe are period correct. Let me know if you need anything else. Best wishes with your build.

Thanks everyone. Really appreciate the help. My glass guy is telling me middle of next week to have mine ready for pickup.

Got everything bolted up but the gaps are not the same between the frame and the stanchions. Should I shim the cone on the passenger side with a washer? Or is there a better way to fix it?
