Default Radiator fitting

Hi All
Having trouble fitting my radiator in 1946 coupe 6cyl model can't remember if the metal peices on each side of the radiator go to the front or the rear set of holes in the fender skirt?? I have then in the front and the lugs on the radiator are about 1/2" away and the holes don't lineup. Thanks Geoff

Hi Geoff, I think you are talking about the inner fender holes? Fender skirts are fitted to the outside of the rear fenders I had a '42 With a 'G' series six and the radiator brackets mounted on the front holes of the inner front fenders. Has the '46 you are working on always been a six? Some of the bracketry in the front is quite different to the V8 and there are two sets of holes in the chassis for the radiator support bracket too. You need to use the front holes here as well. Hopefully this might help. Please post some pictures too if you need further advise, this might help understand your problems.
