Default What's with this vendor stuff??

I just did a quick search for Snyders....
The first up on the internet showed "Snyders",
When I clicked to open it came up Mike's
Did the same for Bratton and first listing came up Mike's

I do not have the problem. Have you tried clearing your browsing history?

I have mine set up to clear every time I close. Also use Duck Duck Go as much as possible instead of google, who is notorious for tracking you Internet usage. Then google bundles your usage data and sells it to retailers, etc. Firefox is OK, but Duck Duck Go is better.

If it says "Ad" at the very beginning the order in the list is determined by Google based on fees paid by vendors.

Mac's pays to have his site come up first regardless of who you google.

If you search "Model A Parts", that may be true. That's not what the original poster did.

In my post, by "MAC", I meant Apple Mcintosh not Mac's Parts. It was to differentiate a PC machine from an Apple machine.

I run an Apple Mac, Mac OS High Sierra, and usually use Chrome as the browser. When I search "Snyders" the first hit up is for Snyders. When I search "Brattons" the first hit up is for Brattons.

It would be interesting to know what the original poster is using for a machine, an operating system and a browser to get what he sees.

Hmm, are you adding the words 'auto parts' to the search ? Whichever supplier I want comes right up.

What are "algos"? Is that what makes them all go to a certain site?

You DEFINITELY have a virus on your system. I just did a normal google search on the word "Snyders" and it came up fine. clicked on it and it went directly to the Snyder site.
