Default Jackpot!

Started cleaning up parts on the 40 motor and when I got to the cam I was thrilled to see" Iskendarian 1023" on the snout. So I'm sure this crankshaft is going to be a 4" stroke Merc.
What kind of performance cam is this?

I'd expect the cam and lifters would be good trading stuff to a collector of such stuff and you could rebuild the engine with a good cam.

Shoot! I was hoping I stumbled on a good old Isky grind, so if I used it what kind of performance could I expect?

Had a fellow at Danbury ran one, ran OK. But these things are rare.

Short track racing is a difficult place to claim an advantage of a certian part of the car or engine. When your stuck in the middle of the pack, ya can't go any faster than the guy in front of you. That's where a good driver and a well handling car is more important then the camshaft. I changed cams a few times and it didn'thelp. Changed drivers, worked very well???
