Default Triple 94 Edelbrock linkage ?

I just set up my linkage according to the instructions and all is good except the fact that the lower Rod hits the crankcase vent tube which means that instead of having the secondaries open at half throttle, they open almost instantly with the primary carb. The design does not allow for this obstruction. If this was a pre 49 motor this would not be an issue. What is the solution?

Put the linkage above the throttle shafts(reverse the linkage)

Thanks, I didn't think of that. Anyone got a spare lower Rod with the stop on the end of it?
I cut mine to fit, then realized it wouldn't work that way.

Ralph
If you have a good Ace Hardware store at the north pole you can buy thin wall brass tube 3/16" and make a sleeve or coupling to solder/braze in.

Ace hardware also carries solid 3/16" brass solid rod. Also have small dia. collars with a 3/16" I.D. and a set screw to lock it on the rod. could use it for a stop.

No tractor supply, but I'll check at the hardware store. Anyone have a picture of what the linkage looks like when set up reversed?
