Default Elmer J. Tolman car search

I am searching for cars owned and sold by my grandfather, Elmer J Tolman before his death in the late 1990's. If you have any information please contact me at: [email protected]. He was a member of the Downey, California chapter on MAFCA called the Diamond Treads. Cars I remember were: 1931 Beige Deluxe Roadster, 1931 Green Pick Up, Maroon Victoria and Phaeton. Years I can't remember for sure.

He also owned several early Ford V8's and Model T's.

Maybe he just would like to know if they are still around. He included his email address so send him a note but his original post was almost 2 year ago so it might not work. You could also send him a PM by clicking on his name, he may see it but his last postings was about a year ago.

Ms H

You ask why I'm interested in any of my grandfathers cars...Number one reason is that I helped him restore many of them in my teenage years and the 1931 pick up was finished when I was a senior in High School. If possible, I'd love to see the truck and take photos perhaps with kids and grandkids...

My main reason for locating any of my grandfathers cars is so that I can stay in touch with current owners and be contacted, if the cars ever came up for sale. It's a family history thing!

I still have the 1931 Model A Coupe that my grandfather helped me restore in 1972. I drove it to High School and still have it after all these years. (Thanks to my wife for NOT letting me sell it when funds were tight!) I have attached a photo of my car after it's most recent restoration...

Thanks for any contact info you can offer. My mobile phone number is: (909) 573-2125

Ed, you should go to the OC Pancake Breakfast this Sunday. You never know but one might show up there.

Thanks Gary, I did attend the OC Pancake Breakfast event, for the first time, and saw a bunch of great old cars. As most were Model A's, it did give me the opportunity to look for familiar cars. The problem is that I haven't seen any of my grandfathers cars in over 30 years and the memory isn't so good. Plus, in that length of time some of them may have been repainted or sold out of state too.

My wife and I will be attending the National Meet in Puyallup, WA this summer so who knows, we may find one of his cars there... That's if I can recognize it..lmbo

Where did the post from Ms. H go? Did she remove it or was it removed by the moderator?
