Default 33 vacuum wipers

Had the 33 for a few years now and I've always relied on rainex as the wipers never worked. Decided to check things out.
Motor is Trico KSB 416-2. The only listing I've seen is for a 1940-47. Is it the same used in 1933 or are shaft lengths different ?. Where is there a source for repair kits.

Had a 34 Coupe and got a spare vaccum wiper motor for it. Will check on the Trico No for this one.

I purchased a NOS motor from here. https://rebuildingtricowipers.com/ it also came with a 5 year warranty. The motor works fantastic! Very knowledgeable and probably knows exactly what you need.

Keith, how do you know that you will need any parts? Just pull the wiper motor apart and clean it out with some kero or solvent to get any gunk out. Lube the paddle with some light oil or ATF. Dont use brake fluid as some will suggest. Check that the vacuum hose from the manifold is not cracked or leaking vacuum or fit a new hose and put it back together. The removal of the header panel is the hardest job. Regards, Kevin.

Yes Kevin , I have stripped the motor, it took some soaking to get the paddle out. I've cleaned it up and will do a bench test tomorrow. I have good vacuum from the hose so we'll see how things go.

Kevin, I notice you say NOT to use brake fluid. I have always heard that is what is best for this. You always seem to have the proper advice, so I have to ask : What is the reasoning behind your statement?

KSB 263 is correct. Easy to tell the motor. Has 2 casting spikes to fit in 2 holes on the sheet metal of the body. Not the cover that has cloth on it

Was sure I had the correct one for a 34. So the KSB 263 will also do the 33.

Tried a test run this morning no go.
Dismantled motor and found this. Maybe I broke it with my shakes or it was already broken.
I was going to try and make one on my mill but a bit small for my abilities.
Do the kits include this ?.

Tubman, sorry for my late reply to you. My computer decided to play up so I have reverted to my old old laptop and its slow like I am. I have only used a light oil such as sewing machine oil which worked well. Have also used Vaseline on the paddle and inside chamber which also worked well. I would think that neatsfoot oil would be good for the leather paddle. I have not used brake fluid because if it leaks from the motor it could leak onto the dash or on me and it removes paint etc. Anybody here know why a computer prints out a letter multiple times when pressing a key just once? All help appreciated. Regards, Kevin.

Yeh Terry, right hand drive and made in China. I fixed it anyway. The next time it plays up I will take it down the range and shoot it up with the old 44.40 Win. Regards, Kevin.
