Default Radiator fitting

Need to know which set of holes is the correct for fitting radiator to 46 ford coupe it is a 6cly model,on the inside skirts of fenders there are four holes do the paneld from the F/skirts to the radiator goto the front set or the rear?? Also the U shaped brace has a cross piece at the bottom does this go towards the engine or the radiator??Thanks
