Default Pickup in 1962

Thought some will enjoy a picture found today by my daddy. This was taken shortly after his pickup was ground towed from Grand Forks, ND to Johnston Co. North Carolina. Note wires for brake and tail lights and a new North Dakota tag, which I assume was required for towing.

Progress pics of getting pickup going again are in the album. The pickup was presented to my Daddy on Father's Day. Those pics coming soon. Mission accomplished. He never knew his pickup was out of storage (since 1968) and being worked on these past 6 months. Biggest and longest lasting smile I've ever seen him have.

Thanks to all in here who helped make this possible.

Apologies for a picture 90 degrees from normal. Will see if I can correct in album.

Thank you Ruth. Did it also rotate in the album?

No, I can't do it in your album.

If you're using Windows, you may be able to right-click Ruth's pic, copy it and paste it in your album. Or you can open the sideways pic in Paint (comes with Windows) and there will be a "Rotate" item somewhere on the menu bar - use it to turn the pic, and be sure to save it. Then you can put it in your album.

If you're using that "other" technology , I have no clue.

Nice little pickup - always liked the "square" cabs. I also got my first A in 62 - not a pickup but we ground towed it with a tow bar. Later, I got a late-30 "round" cab pickup.

Thank you, got it figured out and reposted in landscape format. I like old school tech. Not much "other" in use on this end.
Pickup is so nice. Most everything except body work is like new and working as it should. Will be posting pics with my Daddy soon. He's a happy man to see it going again.

Well you got me now...
Have to see the finished project, and have to see that big smile on daddy's face.
A damn fine thing you did, makes being a Dad worthwhile.
