Looks like a standard model a motor. With a description of OHV I would expect a Rliey, Crager, Miller etc. Is there somehing I'm missing? I only see an after market dizzy cap and plug wires.

Sometimes I cannot help myself and this is one of those times.

Note it has a OHV engine and if you let your imagination go a little further this could be a prototype A400!!!, with prototype future options such as:

Options on this beautiful Model A are vinyl interior, roll-away vinyl soft top, a custom LED light strip under the dash (for the courtesy lighting), and bias ply tires.

Ha, ha, ha! Jeff knows what he's talking about there! Yup - somehow that type of vehicle always seems to find its way into my life...and won't go away. It's just a matter of time before this one shows up on my doorstep with a request from the new owner to "fix a few little things". Here we go again!

Sorry man, was I out of line for calling Gateway and telling them "We know a guy in Davenport, that can straighten out the rough edges, and he welcomes the challenge......................."

One of my favorite things is the backwards door handle on the outside of the drivers door. This has to be one of the most messed up "stock" A's I have seen.

Look at their feedback rating and read all their negative feedback posts! At 79.1% the only reason eBay doesn't dump them is they must be a real cash cow.

FWIW

Their claim "World's largest Classic Car Sales Company, with 14 showrooms across the nation! We have been consigning and selling worldwide, since 1999."

[/I]http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/

They have 1,829 listing on eBay

I took a look at their feedback. Yow not very good, lots of unhappy customers.... "Car condition not as advertised'......'rude'...........'won't return my calls'...........'they tried to hide the body damage'.......'vehicle description misleading'..............'after they got my money zero communication'......five pails of bondo and electrical issues'...............

Wonder what they are hiding on this 'jewel'

The EBAY add also says it's a 4 cyl. overhead valve engine. I must need new glasses. Looks like it's still a flathead to me. I'm not really a Model A guy, but sounds way too expensive for a Tudor in that condition.

Wow, I have never seen a positive feedback rating as low as 79% on EBAY ! Good warning to stay away.

Charlie, you are correct and I screwed up. It looks like a 1930 radiator shell, but on a 1931 (supposedly) car.

We're having fun with this one!

The reason the driver's side door handle is 'backwards' is simple. The car is a screamer. It goes really, really fast and the handle flipped over 180 degrees.

Your welcome.

It has the two piece 1930 running board aprons, that and the 1930 rad shell kinda say 1930 to me. Doesn't matter that much as long as they have legit paperwork. However, I wouldn't touch it for that kind of money and that feedback.
