Side-by-side photos of the main differences, in addition to the engine-turned aluminum faceplate.

The opening at the bottom center of the '56 sedan style dash is more angular than the half-circle of the '57 T-Bird version.
The T-Bird speedometer shows 140 mph, the others are 120.
The full-sized '57 Fords had a different style dashboard & speedometer.

Lower left of the dash cluster, where the '57 Birds put the tachometer.
