Dean,
Why can you not make a stud up welded to a piece of flat and epoxy that on the back of the dash in the correct place.
Would not disturb any paint or wood graining on the other side?

Like I said guys, the unit is very lightweight and the way it sits in the recess of the opening adds to the support of the one stud.

The speedo reads about 5-7 mph slow, shows 35 when I’m actually doing 42. Is that a simple one or two tooth adjustment of the pinion position?

There is a table in the "Green Bible" that shows the speedometer drive gear needed based on rear axle ratio and tire size.
