Default Pretty sure this isn't Model A...

...but does anyone know what it is or how it works? I got it a flea market today just because it looked neat.

That's a beautiful tool and I would have also bought it just for that reason. No clue to it's use though.

I think you are right, as the bottom knob can adjust for depth, and the top knob for the amount of set.

I have an old saw set tool, but it's a bit different than this one.

That is a tool for setting the teeth in handsaws and saw blades. I have one.

VERY interesting, Dick,
My Grandfather, a master saw sharpener, had one that was ENTIRELY different. Once he let me set the teeth on a hand saw---He sighted down it, "You did GOOD, only missed 1 TOOTH"!
He was the DESIGNER of the FIRST narrow, curved back Crosscut Saw!!!
