Ya, that belongs to Rick Schnell, Anoka, MN., who has the record holder
blown Ford Flathead 7 second dragster (the Slider). He's one heck of a builder.

Very Sweet ! I agree on the ultimate part. But that price. Wow !! That belongs in a $200K car.

Nice engine, but I disagree with the "Now That's a Flathead" part. It is now an overhead valve engine.

Yup, even the owner noted that in his description, "OK so this isn't a flathead anymore but you get the idea."

Also, it ONLY runs on 110 octane. Good luck finding that in Whykikamoocow on a Sunday afternoon.

Can someone loan me a shoe horn, hand full of grease and a bucket of $100's
that would look so nice in my A. But I'm on a painted iron budget.....

Since it's now an over head valve engine, I guess it might as well be a blown SBC or Ford, and get more power for maybe $10K.

I see he has a Doug King main girdle in it. I have the same set-up in my unfinished 29 roadster project. flat head powered with a 4-71 blower, Baron high flow heads, a one off manifold . unfortunately, I have been stalled on this project for about 5 years. I need to get back to it soon.

That is a work of art and probably worth every penny, however, I would like it more if it was a Flathead. I look at the Ardun as a three main bearing Hemi with limited cubic inch potential.

Photo 12 shows spray bars to lube the rocker arms, the tubing to the oil pan drains the heads. Also, it looks like that block had a previous life, the intake ports are polished.

Very exciting , but gotta calm down as with the exchange rate @71c it's going to be $76000 plus local tax making $ 87000 then add shipping customs etc it's got to be pushing $100K down under.
Still that doesn't diminish the wow factor and the definite kick in the back when it moves.
