Best first Repair Manual Book?
I am taking delivery of my 36 Pickup this weekend and I would like to get a good repair manual to get me started.
With the Model A fords the Les Andres series of books are superb. I don't need instruction on how to tear down and rebuild the V8, but I would like to gt as much information as possible on tune ups and general maintenance. Any suggestions? thanks!

Re: Best first Repair Manual Book?
I think the ones by George Page are the most complete ones. G.M.

Re: Best first Repair Manual Book?
An EXCELLENT first is the '36 manual once sold by NAPA, now reproduced and readily available. Book V-13 at C&G Ford.
On top of that, actually READ the owner's manual, which also has a LOT of good information. V-17 at same place is '36 passenger, entirely applicable to your pickup for everything involving care and maintenance. After those 2 the sky id the limit...parts, service bulletins, the resto manuals, etc., but take the time to learn those two books first. |

This is not to 'diminish' what is posted above. Those manuals recommended by Bruce and GM/Coopman are probably more in line with what you requested. JMO |
