Default 36 sedan dome light

Before I break something, what's the proper procedure for removing the dome light and/or lens on a 36 fordoor?

There is a snap ring holding the lens inside the dome light housing.

The snap ring is holding the lens INSIDE the housing? How do you get at the snap ring without breaking the lens??

Use a fine pick type instrument and gently pry one end of the snap ring out and it will pop right out - the snap ring has two ends - just locate an end and "pick: it out and the rest will follow.

Thanks Peter, clip popped right out and flew into the front seat. Easy enough
