Default Head gasket

Water port on gasket but not on block BETWEEN #2&3
DO I DRILL THE BLOCK??

The gasket is designed to fit a variety of different engines. Some have the hole, some don't. You do not have to modify the engine to fit the gasket.

Head and block should be flat and clean. Torque to specification and retorque according to the directions. Depending on the gasket and parts you may want to use the spray copper gasket cement. Consult the Model A Mechanics Manual, Vol 1 for instructions if you don't have them already.

I would NOT drill the block!! you may have a B head gasket which has the water holes that are on the B engine I believe the head gasket will seal.
