Default New Book Available on the Ford Flathead V-8 Engine

......now available from the EFV-8 Clubs Online Store

This detailed 2 volume 456 page Album about the Ford V-8 engine provides the enthusiast with insight into the development of Ford's fabled flathead V-8 in 1932. Captured in this album are countless hours of 1932-1953 Ford flathead research by many V-8 Club members. It is not another book about how to build a flathead. In addition, you will find block identification, serial numbers, engine oddities, conversions, and much more. It's a must for your Ford flathead library.

Looks to be a great book. Pity that it was not out in June, as I could have brought a set back with me. Now, with postage to Australia, the cost would be around $200 Australian.

Does anyone know the picture quality? So often specialty books like this lack decent pictures.

No option outside 3 day shipping.

$81.17 tax, title, shipping. (in the states)

Ordered. Hope it's a hardcover book, not a spiral-bound and but if so hope its chucked with some good info. After reading I'll add it to jwl and rons, etc stack.

Good books are fine thing. Picked up some Harley D books at an action, A friend told me to to buy them. $100 for 15 books... to really buy 1 hardcover early HD identification book. I don't own a early HD, so I sold the out of print book on ebay. $300. Guess he was right.

They are very good. Ordered mine Sunday before last. Got them this past Monday.
Over half read them already.
Pictures in them are good and they are soft cover and spiral bound.

Why would you guys say that? I was a subscriber of "restorer" model a, and "Secrets of speed" mags, also the jalopy journal quarterly stuff. Lot's of great info in them.

One of my more favorite. Missing some updated bulletins.

Nobody is forcing you to buy the book, so what is your point?

Before I slap leather to make the purchase, I would like to see some in-depth reviews from those people who have already purchased the book....

I personally thought your opening post gave a good insight into what contents to expect in the book. ie info details and not build details.
So then you can buy or pass on the purchase.
Thanks for initial post. I would consider it for sure.

Some folks wanted to know what the photos were like...

Edit to add: I've been recently reminded that copying pages from a book of this kind can run afoul of the rights of the owners of the intellectual property being represented. In other words this type of photo can violate copyright laws. Please be kind even if I'm being sloppy.
