Default Geo. Dammann Ford books

Just read a profile on Mr. Dammann in current issue of Classic Car magazine. I have several of his books on other marques. I didn't realize he had done any Ford books. Turns out The "Illustrated History of Ford" was his first publication! It covers Ford models from 1903-70.
I also found that he later did another Ford book, "90 Years of Ford", that I believe follows the same format as the books I have.
Are any or both worth picking up? Both books are out of publication and the 90 years book can get pricey if found new. There are some used books available and I would consider them if they're worth it. Would like your opinion. Thanks,
Howard

I have the Illustrated History of Ford by George H. Dammann, it is an excellent reference book filled with factory photos and drawings of most of the vehicles built by Ford. I don't have the 90 Years of Ford book by Mr. Dammann but, if it is anything like the Illustrated History of Ford, I like to have one.

I have both.
I bought the 1st edit long ago.
Then much later I saw the second one that was far more up to date and nearly twice the size!!

They did the same with the chuvy books. I wish Crestline would update some of their others.

I believe Mr. D's company is still in business , run by his son. They themselves had quite a supply of SOME (not all) of there older publications, and were available thru them. Not as cheap as when introduced, but what is. Some research on your part may payoff.

Got Illustrated History of Ford for my 21st B'day. I still look at it regularly.

Hi Howard,
Next time you are down here in the southern part of the state, stop by and I'll loan you my copy of Illustrated History of Ford by Dammann. Somewhere I have the other one as well but can't put my hands on it right now. Toby

Hi Toby and others, Thanks for the offer but I would like copies for my library. I've found a couple of "used" listings on Amazon but, I'm holding off to see what I can find at the flea market at Rhinebeck. That's May 3rd and 4th.
For those who have never been to this event, try to make it, it's getting bigger every year. Large flea market, hot rod show on Saturday, antiques and collectables show on Sunday. Held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, N.Y. Probably be better as a day trip at this point, most accommodations are booked by now.
