I had used a NAPA 3032 in-line filter for 20 yrs. Around 4000 to 5000 miles the filter would get full and start passing crud and need replacing. A few years ago i picked up a replacement and it just would not flow enough gas. I cut open a new one and an old one and found the new one had twice the filter media. The new one had China printed on it and the old one had US stamped on the end.

Can you use an in-tank fuel filter inserted in the shut-off value of a late 31 Model A? I know that they are used in the earlier Model A's when the shut-off valve is inside the car.

Yes ! I have in my late 31 Tudor, the filter lays horizontal so be aware it will clog up quicker than the ones that stand vertical

Big Hammer, thanks for replying. I will try to get it to work. I can only get it to dribble the gas slowly, certainly not a flow.

I have a late model 31 coupe with indented firewall. I installed the 31 fuel filter kit from Snyders and installed it with pill magnet in bottom of Wix filter. So far it is working fine.

No WIX and NAPA only sells to businesses here. I use any old cheap filter I usually buy on Temu. At about $US1, they work well and can be replaced whenever needed without any concerns.
