Default The Rouge Plant

Does anyone know what has happened to The Mighty Rouge with the general demise of Detroit? I thought I read somewhere that it was abandoned and fallen into ruin. Can this be right?

Most of the original buildings, including the famous "B" building have been torn down and new ones put in place. There are a few remaining buildings from the 30s & 40s but these are smaller buildings for the most part.

The Rouge still builds trucks to this day. Ford sold off it's steel plant to an independent firm back in the 1970s.

Good question, but It would take many paragraphs to give a decent answer. BTW- The Rouge is in Dearborn, not Detroit. Dearborn has escaped most of the downhill slide that Detroit has had for the past 50 yrs.

Thanks Luke. Of course, Dearborn.
