Stirring the pot a little
I just looked at the MAFCA sight and their Model A of the Day Picture. I noticed a few anomalies on the car:
a) Double sided White Walls with white diamond tread that I have never seen before. b) A 30 bumper on a 29. Guessing a late 29. c) Is that a painted metal ring around the spare tire? Not sure when the photo was taken. Mike

Re: Stirring the pot a little
Looks like they painted the tires in their photography business.

Re: Stirring the pot a little
That is what I was thinking. That must have taken a LOT of time.

Should the license plate hang below the light bar?

Here's another article I found with the same car and another with the same tires. http://theoldmotor.com/?p=156426

Yes that is how the plate hangs. Unless, it is during the summer then you can change it to a horizontal position for better cooling. Mike

Re: Stirring the pot a little
The spare tire cover is from what I can tell an original Ford accessory. I had a couple of these covers at one time. They are a rubberized canvas cover with alternating ribbed squares molded in the rubber. The cover has a wire in the inside diameter edge that one can pull tight and secure with a wing nut. They fit the tire very snugly and look great. I wish this tire cover were reproduced because it makes the vinyl ones with elastic look like cheap knockoffs (which they are).

Those tires will really give the anti-white wall faction on Fordbarn an attack of the heeby-jeebies!
