Default 21A distributor ?

I have a Ford reconditioned 21A distributor, but the mechanical advance is an 11A. Is that advance mechanism compatible with the later engines ?

The 11A weights and advance were used with the 21A distributor.

The 11A stuff was released in 1941 on the last version of the '37-41 type helmet distributor...the faster and longer advance curve was the only change then. later, the 11A parts replaced the 68 type parts used on the older version for replacement use...
The '41 setup can be identified on assembled distributors because advance type is stamped on drive end of shaft, 68 or 11.
The 68 setup was a hangover from the slightly rare partial production 68 distributor used on some '36 Fords...
The same parts were kept in use '42-48 assembled onto the later short shaft in 21A and 59A distributors.
