Recommendations for best place to buy a new or rebuilt 9 inch center section.

You referring to the removable “pumpkin” or the whole section less the tubes and axles?

Google it, there are dozens of places to buy a rebuilt 9" third member. New stuff is available, gets pretty spendy, Currie Enterprises sells new custom units. Ford doesn't manufacture any parts today, it's all aftermarket. I would check the local wrecking yards, there are still plenty of 1/2 ton pickups in my area and they used them until until the mid 80's

I'm just asking if there are any gear builders that stick out as better than others. I've bought many 100's of 9 inch (Pumpkins) during my 40+ years in the chassis business from Currie, John's and Speedway. I've had very few failures. Nothing wrong with asking if there's some new fresh face out there.
